Mel is the owner of Muscle Action Therapies and a former Australian rugby player with over 25 years of experience as a sports massage therapist. Over the past few years, Mel has worked with various Elite Professional sports teams such as Hawthorn, The Melbourne Storm, Melbourne Mavericks and the Highlanders.

She’s worked with multiple teams and athletes in the AFL, NRL, NBL, BBL, Super Rugby and Victorian Athletics League. As well as international teams such as the Wallabies, All Blacks & Fijian Drua.

Melissa’s Story

Hi my name is Melissa, I am an experienced athlete and massage therapist in Wantirna South. I completed my first qualification in 1994 as a Sports Massage Therapist, I then went on to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement. During this time I was introduced to Rugby Union and played at an elite level for 10 years. Representing Australia at two World Cups, Victoria, Northern Territory and my local club Box Hill Fillies. Whilst I played I had two children and retired shortly after the birth of my second child. I updated my qualifications to become a Remedial Therapist in 2016. For over 24 years I have worked with athletes and clients with acute and chronic muscular pain.

My aim as a Massage Therapist is to keep you active through remedial massage. Whether you're a stay at home parent, full time worker, business owner, weekend warrior or elite athlete. Our business aims to support you in your journey of exceptional living.
