  • We always recommend a 60-minute initial appointment, as it gives us time to properly assess, prioritise, and begin addressing issues you may have.

We also understand that a full hour may not suit everyone’s schedule or finances. If you choose a 30 or 45 minute session instead, we will still do our best to address your issues.

But please be mindful that we will need to prioritise your first and main issue.

However, we will prioritise issues depending on severity and you may need to return to fix other issues.

It’s vital that you fill out your pre screening form prior to arrival so we can get started once you arrive.

Deep muscular pain is often caused by trigger points, which are hyperirritable spots located in taught bands of skeletal muscles. Release of these trigger points will reduce pain and increase your movement.

  • Your therapist will recommend how often he or she would like to see you based on your assessment and condition.

If you have a chronic condition (a condition you've had for greater than 6 months) most therapists will advise once or twice a week for at least two or three weeks.

The reason we advise once or twice a week is to disrupt the pain cycle that has been created by your condition, or to continue the relaxed and lengthened muscle state produced after your massage so that your condition does not return. Often chronic conditions may have developed over many years and require concentrated attention to fix.

Together we'll pin point which actions and movements are worsening your condition. We do this to reduce habits which worsen your condition, and hopefully so you can enjoy your life pain free.

  • Most clients feel great after a massage, however some clients may feel quite tender and sore after a deep tissue massage.

When you receive a deep tissue or remedial massage your muscles can feel like they’ve just done a work out. This is because much like doing a work out, during your massage small micro tears may occur which may cause some swelling and pain.

After 2 or 3 days this soreness will subside and you'll have much better range of movement and reduced symptoms, such as headaches and migraines.

It is important to keep hydrated leading up to and after your massage. Hydration plays an important part in your healing process, so don't forget to drink plenty of water.
